We work with all types of financial institutions from large international banks to small independent automobile dealerships. 

 

Large or small, we can successfuly execute various types of services for your business as indicated by some of our past projects. 

TEXAS TRUST

  • Full portfolio management services including sourcing of performing subprime portfolios, portfolio and counter-party due diligence, pricing and managing the third party servicer.

SPECIALTY LENDER

  • Provided portfolio analysis and delivered “market value” opinion in connection with Client’s foreclosure process.

LARGE ASSET PURCHASER (subsidiary of a foreign bank)

  • Performed analysis on a $65 million BHPH and subprime auto portfolio (servicing retained transaction.) 

  • Advised on the Purchase and Sale Agreement, managed the due diligence process and made recommendations to move the servicing.

  • Created an interface with the servicer allowing us to receive daily “raw data dumps” into SQL.

  • Recommended collection strategies and specific call campaigns to improve performance.

  • Currently performing monthly surveillance with daily interaction with the servicer and our client.

US BANK (ABS Issuer)

  • Hired as asset representations reviewer under Reg. AB II for public auto loan securitization issuance by large national auto loan securitizer.

LARGE ASSET PURCHASER (subsidiary of a foreign bank)

  • Successfully sourced and closed a $110 million subprime portfolio, performed cash flow analysis, loan file due diligence and transition to a third party servicer.

LARGE INDEPENDENT FINANCE COMPANY (several billion in assets)

  • Successfully helped close a $16 million subprime auto portfolio. 

  • provided guidance and analytics on performance and servicing transfer.

  • Sold delinquent accounts to another finance company that were excluded.

LARGE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM

Initially engaged by PE firm that owned a subprime finance company to provide several cash flow scenarios enabling the PE firm to evaluate options:

  1. Selling the assets,

  2. liquidating the portfolio with CSF oversight

  3. Moving the portfolio to a third party servicer with CSF oversight.

  • Then CSF was retained by the PE firm to take over and manage the finance company after the termination of their CEO.

  • CSF successfully cleaned up the finance company (compliance issues as well as loan data issues) to enable a non-recourse sale of its assets. The transaction successfully closed.  

INDEPENDENT FINANCE COMPANY IN MIDWEST

  • CSF was hired by company owner after terminating their CEO to perform an analysis of the cash flows, operations and compliance issues surrounding the company. 

  • CSF recommended a sale of the company. 

  • CSF found a purchaser, and facilitated the sale. The transaction successfully closed.

HEDGE FUND

  • Initially hired to broker sale of a $12 million subprime portfolio.

  • CSF put together a full investor package on such portfolio and a determination was made to move the portfolio from the originator/servicer to another servicer. 

  • CSF managed the entire transition to the new servicer and performs full portfolio management with daily interaction with the third party servicer along with interaction with the hedge fund no less than monthly. 

  • CSF’s responsibility for full portfolio management includes working with the hedge fund’s accounting firm to ensure the servicers certificate is accurate along with full reconciliations of the servicing invoice.

LARGE ASSET PURCHASER (subsidiary of foreign bank)

  • Performed analysis for several subprime loan portfolios and several lines of credit for car dealerships, including compliance and regulatory due diligence on the car dealerships.

VARIOUS INDEPENDENT FINANCE COMPANIES

  • Engaged to broker subprime portfolios totaling over $160 million. 

  • Engagements ranged from simply acting as the broker and sending a data file to performing analytics and due diligence. 

  • Unlike other brokers in subprime auto, CSF creates robust portfolio analysis and stratifications enabling the sellers and buyers to have transparency.

CURRENT WORK WITH THIRD PARTY SERVICERS

  • Currently working with two third party servicers and have in place processing agreements with CSC Logic, Inc. 

  • CSF has developed an interface with both servicers enabling daily data dumps which in turn gives CSF the ability to produce robust analysis of a portfolio.

  • One such system is the NLS or Nortridge system.

EXPERT WITNESS

  • Expert witness testimony for Federal Bankruptcy case in Georgia

  • Expert analytics for an independent finance company to support its litigation on  two portfolios not performing within expectations
